Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American College of Surgeons, Hilario Juarez, M.D., FACS, is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Juarez has been recognized as a Center of Excellence surgeon since 2005 by the Surgical Review Corporation — an independent, non-profit organization that identifies surgeons who provide superior bariatric surgery patient care.
Dr. Juarez has provided surgical services in the Valley for more than 30 years. Applying his extensive experience and the latest advancements in bariatric surgery, Dr. Juarez specializes in laparoscopic surgical procedures including Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Adjustable Gastric Banding, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG), Duodenal Switch, Revisions and endoscopic procedures. He also has extensive experience in general laparoscopic, complex cases and trauma surgery.

Dr. Juarez is best known for his compassion and care towards each patient; he is not the kind of person to say “that can’t be done”. Many patients and insurance companies have heard this and in turn reached out to Dr. Juarez for a solution, he has accepted some of the most difficult of cases, placing patients before outcomes.

Dr. Juarez opened Abdominal Surgeons, Ltd. in 1984, he is independent from the Bridges Center for Surgical Weight Management as of 2016 and has taken all of the patient care back into his own office in effort to offer a more personalized experience. 

 

He is currently accepting most commercial and AHCCCS plans and can offer financing and self payment options.

Step one – First steps of My Journey will map the first steps, options available and basic knowledge and education, including what to provide to insurance for surgery approval.
Step two - My Journey Through Surgery will include specific education and information regarding the surgery you have chosen and what to expect pre and post operative.
Step three - My New Life Journey will include tips to stay committed, recipes, education, reading materials, stretching poses, exercises to increase muscle mass and burn fat, meditation techniques, and a section to log follow-up visits.
